Our service is to facilitate our partners the payment required to obtain the DS-2019 Form, SEVIS payment and Insurange coverage. Package that is provided by US Sponsors.
DS-2019 form: The Form DS-2019 is a Department of State controlled document that identifies the exchange visitor and their designated sponsor and provides a brief description of the exchange visitor's program. The information in this form is completed by the sponsor. Once given the DS-2019, the participant can apply at a U.S. embassy for the J-1 visa.
SEVIS payment: SEVIS is the Department of Homeland Security database developed to collect information on the J visa holders. Form DS-2019 can only be produced through the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
Insurance coverage: Each sponsor is responsible for contracting health insurance to participants. This insurance needs to be in accordance with the regulations of the State Department, as shown: http://j1visa.state.gov/sponsors/how-to-administer-a-program/
Resources Abroad is not responsible for:
1.- Delays in the issuance or delivery of the Form DS-2019 or issuance of J1 Visa by accident or force majeure.
2.- The re-issuance of the DS-2019 for mistakes in filling out the application on-line by the Client, or the financial consequences or delays arising from this.
3.- Changes in the process, regulations, requirements, or others by the U.S. Consulate, the U.S. State Department or the Sponsor.
4.- Airline penalties for delays in issuing the DS-2019 or J1 Visa.
5.- Limitation or exhaustion of quotas for issuing the DS-2019 issued by the State Department of the U.S. to the Sponsors.
